Polar Endpoints

Researchers were stunned to find this set of fraternal dragon fetuses: one a water dragon, the other a fire dragon.

Despite their obvious differences, however, follow-up research showed that generally all social interaction between these two males was, including the time after puberty, peaceful and even playful.

This is my submission for Illustration Friday. The topic this week is "opposites." I thought that these little babies were really cute.

Sharing

"Lean a little closer," said the Ladybug. "I'll share my secret recipe with you. You're my friend, and it'll be all the more special each time I make it. It'll be ours.

***

For the first time since I started this blog, my Mom and Aunt took a peek at bubblesbambino. It was fun to share something with them that such a source of delight for me. We looked through the illustrations and read some of the text. It was very enjoyable.

I've enjoyed doing this since I started it last year. But after I shared it with those I love, it made it even more enjoyable to me. In fact, I was inspired to do more and plan to post regularly, every day if life permits.

The best way to enjoy something is to share it with others. It's an automatic way to enhance the splendor of even the simplest joys. Perhaps this is why I enjoy sharing my life so much with all of my readers.

Thanks for reading!

Sacrifice

Ice Cream Night wasn't so fun after Mommy got diabetes

The Illustration Friday topic, "sacrifice," is my favorite to date. I had oodles of ideas for it. I really wanted to do something about Jesus Christ, but haven't had time to finish it. Today, however, I was inspired by an educational health seminar that my mom and I both attended. We were already well-versed, but we learned so much. (I even got time to draw this picture!)

For someone who loves to eat as much as she does (especially large portions of no-no foods), a lifestyle change to enhance wellness is in deed a sacrifice. But I'm glad that she's willing to do it.

Sacrifice is a topic that is close to my heart. It's another of life's many attributes that is well-worth viewing. Of course, the only way to view it in its most pure form is to keep on living and viewing life at the right angle.

Tap into the Untouchable

Pi Pup 1.0

Being alive gives you the chance to conquer things that you once considered too complex for your attention.

For example, I used to despise math of practically all sorts. But in the past few years, I have come to love it. In fact, this has become so true that I study it on my own. I never thought I'd consider actually acquiring a degree in mathematics. But the thought has passed through my head a number of times. With a little practice and dedication, the same monster that plagued me in grade school will be a tamed pup. Cool!

Happy Homecoming

Happy Homecoming Mommy!!!

My Mom is back from the hospital after an eleven-day stay in one of the most unloved health spas in the area.

Life presents countless chances for sadness and hardships; but the opportunities for joy and happy suprises outglows every one of them.

Itsy Bitsy Super Strength

No matter how small I feel, I try to actualize the fact that I am able to do more than I feel as though I can. And even when you feel tiny, you are the same.

Need more proof?

How about a 15 pound kitty chasing an enormous bear up a tree... Jack the Cat made national news by doing just that.

Whenever you feel to small or insignificant to meet a great challenge, just remember
the greatness of this little guys feat.

(And you thought being a microscopic capsule of individuality left you powerless and insignificant.)

The Wisdom of PBJ: Cleansing

WARNING!!!

A fury little friend of mine (whom we will refer to as PBJ) lives by the rodent rule that humans are absolutely disgusting. He cleans himself, especially his face, after I've picked him up, and even after he's been around me for a while. Yet he still gives kisses (kind of like a dog- it's cute), and will even follow you around if he loves you.

Perhaps humans can learn from his simple philosophy in dealing with bad company and influences: If you find that you cannot avoid bad company, love the person; but be sure to clean yourself of their mental residue frequently.

All About the Art

I use anything handy to illustrate: graphite, pen, sand, ketchup, icing, etc. I enjoy using text to illustrate as well. For my digital illustrations, I use Macromedia's Fireworks MX. It's easy to figure out and was already installed on my computer when I got it. So, since it was free, it's especially terrific!

Here is a minishowcase of my work. It's currently pretty small, but I plan to add more to it in the not-so-far-off future.

All About the Bubbles!

Bubbles (Retinna Bell), is an artist/writer living in Florida. She spends her time day-dreaming, thinking, and pondering deeply. When not doing this, she enjoys writing (and is currecntly preparing work in juvenile fiction and poetry), creating art, and teaching kids. While the above is not her most recent photo, she still looks very much the same as pictured.

Bubbles would really enjoy hearing from you, but most of all would like for her words and pictures to touch the hearts of those who are feeling quite blue. She herself has had many blue days and experiences, but offers this advice: " When your life feels unbearable and you find yourself struggling over an enormous mountain, know that if you keep going, you will be shocked by the beauty and joy that waits for you on the other side of it- the side that you can't see at first, but must choose to believe is there."
